Dr Taya Dowling completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney and has worked as a doctor in the Hunter region since 2008. Taya is a General Paediatrician and also a sub-specialist in Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine. Taya is also a Staff Specialist General Paediatrician at the John Hunter Children's Hospital where she has practiced in that role for over 8 years.

Taya has a special interest in Eating Disorders and Adolescent Health, but has extensive experience in all areas of General Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She is passionate about assisting children, young people and families to access the supports they need and optimise their health and wellbeing.

Taya cherishes her time with her husband, two sons and two dogs. When she's not working Taya is usually driving her children around to soccer training and games, but also tries to squeeze in some time to run, garden and catch up with friends and family.
