Karen Bealing

Social Worker

Karen Bealing is a Social Worker at Hunter Children's Clinics, working as part of our multidisciplinary team to support children and families through the practical and emotional side of their care.

Karen works as part of our nurse practitioner (NP) pathway team, attending the case conference held for every child on that pathway alongside our nurse practitioners and paediatricians. This support is offered at no cost to the family, and can include help with NDIS applications, school discussions and other school supports, engaging with other services such as victims support, and assistance with Centrelink. Every family is different, so Karen's focus is shaped around what would genuinely help at the time. You can read more about our social work service.
